Robbin J. Sheets, 65, of Parkersburg passed away Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.
He was born Dec. 23, 1954, at Crawfordsville, to the late George Edward and Imogene Harriett (Haase) Sheets.
Robbin graduated from South Montgomery High School in 1973 and married the love of his life, Doreen Lynn Townsend, on Nov. 29, 1980, who survives. Growing up, Robbin worked with his father in the body shop and then took over as the owner and operator of Sheets Body Shop in Parkersburg. His passion was working on antique cars; he also never knew a stranger, loved history and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Doreen; three sons, Jeremy (Kristin) Sheets, Andrew Sheets and Ryan Sheets; brother Steven Edward (Sandy) Sheets of Frankfort; seven grandchildren, Naomi, Drake, Lola, Abigail, Owen, Coralline and Briar; and step-mother Ida Sheets.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of the celebration of life service at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28 at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville. Cody Hargis will officiate. Cremation will follow the service.
