Sharon L. (Lane) Carr, 80, of Crawfordsville passed away Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, from COVID-19 complications and went to be with her Lord and Savior.

She was born May 25, 1940, at New Ross, to Robert and Dorothy Lane. On Aug. 15, 1969, at Clearwater, Florida, she married Wayne Leroy Carr. He preceded her in death March 4, 2015.

Sharon was a 1958 graduate of Crawfordsville High School and was a member of the Crecsendos Chorus and the Red Hat Society. She loved her Lord and Savior and attended River of Life Church and was a member of Church Alive. Throughout the years, she worked at Crown Cork & Seal, Central Indiana Rubber, Wendy’s and Arby’s. In retirement, Sharon dedicated her time to helping friends and family, and caring for her beloved dog Miko.

She is survived by two step-sons, Duane and Dennis Alexander; step-daughter Michelle Keller; son-in-law Phil Fettig; grandchildren, Luke and Nikki Fettig, Skylar McNorton, Devin Alexander, Nicholas and Dustin Alexander, Cailin, Crystal and Jason Alexander, Samantha Schimmel and Zachary and Nathan Taylor; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wayne; son Dwayne McNorton; daughter Dierdre Fettig; step-daughter Velvet Alexander; brother Robert “Rocky” Lane; and grandson Isaiah West.

Due to COVID-19, there will be no public services, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date. There will be a private family service from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 21 that will be live-streamed and recorded and can be viewed on Sharon’s obituary page at www.sandersfuneralcare.com. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Sanders Priebe Funeral Care entrusted with care.

Memorial donations may be given in Sharon’s memory to the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County, 1104 Big Four Arch Road, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.

Such a beautiful lady and a beautiful soul. So sorry to hear about this tragic loss for the family, and so soon after the loss of Dee. May God hold you all in his loving arms to give you comfort!
