Chargers improve in dual meet win
North Montgomery played against Seeger and Attica on Monday and came away with two wins. The Chargers shot a season’s best 178. Seeger shot a 230 and Attica carded a 252.
Medalist in the meet was Marlee Reed who recorded a 42. Mallory Inskeep shot a 44. Izzy Hamby and Hadie Horn each carded 46.
Seeger scores were Magen Such 48, Callie Anderson 56, Emma Nern 61 and two players tied at 65, Eliza Cushman and Paisley Brooks.
Attica scores were Madison Bonebrake 66, Brooklyn Falcon and Hope Borst both with a 63. Halli Zimmerman shot a 60 to lead the Red Ramblers.
Mounties win dual meet
Southmont won a dual meet over Terre Haute North at Hulman links 193-227.
Leading the Mounties was medalist Lanie Ramsey with a 43. Other scores were Maggie Gilliland 48 and Addison Kendricks and Emma Gleason 51.
Southmont will next be in action as the travel back to Terre Haute to play in Saturday’s Terre Haute South Invitational.

Chargers win contest
North Montgomery’s football team was awarded $5,000 from the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights Sweepstakes.
The weekly competition keeps the Chargers in the running for a complete $1 million dollar stadium upgrade.
High schools in towns with populations under 150,000 are eligible for the contest.
North Montgomery coaches, administrators and teachers submitted an entry on behalf of their school. The submission included a short essay about why North Montgomery “deserves a transformation of their football field.”
A total of 1,000 schools across the nation received the $5,000 award for the past week.
Next the Chargers will be submitting media posts to advance in the competition which could earn them an additional $5,000. If the video is selected as a Top 40 School, an additional $25,000 could be won.
T-Mobile has committed $8.4 million in total prizes for the 2026 season.

Wabash Golf earns special recognition
The Wabash College golf team earned the Presidents Special Recognition as part of the 2025-26 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Awards announced Wednesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
