Woodland Farms of Tangier, owned by Adrene Brown and her late husband, Parke M. Brown, was recently honored to receive the Hoosier Homestead Sesquicentennial Award. The award given by the Indiana Department of Agriculture recognizes farms throughout the state that have been owned by the same family continuously for 150 years or more. The farm was originally purchased by William Brown in 1851. Parke M. and Adrene are the fifth generation of Browns to own the farm.
