The Fountain Central boys' tennis team defeated Covington 4-1 on Friday night and in the process through fundraising efforts raised $2,370 for the Evan McTagertt Memorial Scholarship and the Levi McTagertt Trust Fund.
In the contest, Carson Eberly picked up a win at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-2 over Evan Norton, while Cody Linville beat Jackson Kindell 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Brent Myers defeated Emmett Reynolds 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 3 slot.
Sawyer Keeling and Brayden Prickett defeated Aiden Miller and Peyt Shumaker 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles, while the duo of Jacob Keeling and CJ Yager fell to Myles and Nolan Potter 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles.
