Traffic stop yields illegal drugs, cash

A Greencastle man was arrested Monday on multiple drug charges following a traffic stop in Crawfordsville.

At approximately 8:36 a.m., Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Rob Hechinger and K-9 Titan initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in Crawfordsville. K-9 Titan was used for a search of the vehicle and he indicated to the presence of illegal narcotics. A search of the vehicle yielded approximately a half-pound of methamphetamine and over $9,000 in cash. Deputies also located several syringes and scales. 

The driver, Brandon Buttery, 39, of Greencastle, was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing methamphetamine, dealing cocaine or a narcotic, possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine or a narcotic, possession of a syringe and resisting law enforcement. He was incarcerated at the Montgomery County Jail.
