To celebrate being in school for 100 days, Turkey Run Elementary students were encouraged to dress up as 100-year-old people on Monday. Costumes varied from gray hair, canes, pajamas and robes to sweaters and overalls. Activities focused on the number 100 were also completed. These varied from counting out 100 items to writing 100 adjectives to reading books about the 100th day. First grade students made projects with 100 items to show what 100 looks like. In the afternoon, a 100th Day Celebration was held in the gym. Students learned what staff members will look like and will be doing in 100 years, listened to a 100 Day story and song, and participated in a relay race against staff members. Some of the students who dressed up as 100-year-old people are, from left, front frow, Harrison Bridge, Jewell Eldridge, Jacob Newnum, Lyric Breedlove, Charlie Hill, Kayten Faulkner and Bowen Laznik; second row, Havik Roemer, Rebel Roemer, Autumn Wirth, Brady Patton, Jake Sauter, Griffin Woods and Nolan Mayes; third row, Tanner Earley, Ellie Rivers, Ellie Harshman, Carter Chapman, Candice Gillogly, Ezekiel Diaz and Jackson Wrightsman; and back row, Allie Sauter, Cobie McCrory, Nove DeBord, Paige Rose, Bayleigh Wallace and Hagen Jeffrey.
