Sigma Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa met at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at Christ Lutheran Church to make pies for Pam’s Promise, a local non-profit transitional housing program for homeless women and their children.
At 7:10 p.m. President Judy Goshorn called the annual corporation meeting to order. The members of the board of directors are Judy Goshorn, president; Sarah Hough, vice president; Dixie Ruggles, secretary; Tonya Trinkle, treasurer; and Eleanor Brewer, corresponding secretary. The officers of the chapter shall be the directors and officers of the corporation. The savings account at Hoosier Heartland State Bank is used for scholarships. The checking account is used for day-to-day business.
President Goshorn read a letter from the Ladoga Library explaining the writer’s workshop and asking for a donation. Sigma donated to last year’s workshop which was very successful. The request was tabled for a future meeting.
The chapter by-laws were reviewed and revisions presented. Dixie Ruggles moved to accept the changes as revised and to send the revisions to the state. Margie Staten seconded the motion and it passed.
The next meeting will be a zoom meeting in January 2026.
