Troy Matthew Long, 46, of Crawfordsville passed away July 22, 2021, at Indianapolis, due to complications after surgery.
He was born Aug. 24, 1974, at Crawfordsville.
Troy is survived by father, Mike Long; two brothers, Justin and Mike; and three nieces and nephews. He attended Southmont High School and graduated with the class of 1993. He continued his education at Ball State University, graduating in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree.
He was a dedicated Cubs fan and loved to make the trip to Chicago for a game. He lived his faith by example and helped others in his community, through church outreach.
Services will be held Thursday, Aug. 5 at All Saints Episcopal in Indianapolis. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. and funeral mass will be at 2 p.m.
Additionally, for the convenience of local friends and family, a celebration of life will be held 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8 at Christ Lutheran Church. This event will be in remembrance of he and his mother, Terri Henderson, who passed away one year ago. All are welcome to join us.
The memory of his sense of humor and gentle heart will be with us always.
