The Montgomery County Extension Homemakers will conduct its annual International Day program at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10 at the Montgomery County 4-H fairgrounds. The public is invited to attend.
“Voyage to the United States as an Immigrant” will be presented by Mary Kohut Hancock of Lafayette. She is Ukrainian and migrated to the United States in 1949. Her story begins with how her mother was forced to leave Ukraine in the middle of the night and placed in a cattle car. She will have a display table of Ukrainian eggs and embroidery items to view.
