Well the month of July is here, and it is hot.

The VA Roudebush Hospital in Indianapolis and the VA Illiana Health Care System in Danville, Illinois are now open for limited access for appointments. However, we have had no veterans going to either hospital at this time. A total of seven veterans have visited my office.

Anyone wanting to go on an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. should contact the Honor Flight of Greater Lafayette. Flights this year have been cancelled. To get more details of upcoming trips, call 765-357-1000 or visit online at info@Honorflightlafayette.com or www.Honorflightlafayette.com.

I will be at the American Legion Post 72 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday for anyone who wants to come in with questions or to start a claim. You do not have to be a member of the American Legion Post to stop by and see me.

Those who need a DD-214 should call the county recorder’s office to see if they have it on file. If not, call me to see if I have one or we will order you one. If you have a DD-214, but have not filled it as yet please take it to the recorder’s office and have it registered.
