Vickie Lynn Stewart, 71, of Crawfordsville passed away, Friday, July 17, 2020, at the home of her son in Holyoke, Colorado.

She was born Nov.18, 1948, at Indianapolis, to Albert Parmeter and the late Mary (Dowell) Fuller. On July 19, 1964, she married James “Stewy” Stewart. They were married for more than 51 years until his death March 10, 2016.

When asked of her greatest accomplishments, Vickie simply stated: “My Son-Troy Lee.” Vickie sold insurance for Bankers Life and Casualty for many years and earned a great deal of awards while engaged in that endeavor. She was a very creative person. She enjoyed painting, decorating and crafting, creating an abundance of special pieces which she shared with many friends and family. She also enjoyed cooking and was most famous for her noodles. She will be greatly missed by her large extended family and many friends. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Crawfordsville, serving as Mrs. Eagle, and generously giving of her time and talents to serve and cook at countless fundraisers and benefits to help others.

She is survived by son Troy (Mardi) Stewart; granchildren, Eleanor (Brock) Tendick, Luke Stewart and Drew Stewart; great-grandson Lewis Tendick; father Albert Parmeter; sister Linda Zrobek; and special nieces and nephew, Michael Zrobek, Marie LeMaster and Patty Zrobek.

She was preceded in death by mother Mary Fuller and husband James Stewart.

A graveside service will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 25 at Ladoga Cemetery. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, James. Friends may pay their respects 4-6 p.m. Friday, July 24 at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home, 203 N. Washington St., Ladoga. Social distancing will be expected to be followed, and masks are strongly suggested.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in Vickie’s memory be made to Ladies Auxiliary for the Eagles, 920 E. South Blvd., Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
