The IHSAA announced the volleyball sectional draws over the weekend. Fountain Central will compete in the Class 2A Sectional at Clinton Prairie, while Southmont will compete in the Class 2A Sectional at Cloverdale, and Crawfordsville and North Montgomery will compete in the Class 3A Sectional at Frankfort.
At Clinton Prairie, the Mustangs (7-16) will face Lewis Cass (6-18) in the opening round at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17.
Other teams competing are Carroll (Flora) (21-4), Clinton Prairie (10-15), Rossville (10-14), and Seeger (16-8).
At Cloverdale, the Mounties (17-6) will face Cloverdale (12-9) in the opening round on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Southmont already owns a 3-0 win over the Clovers this season. The winner will play Riverton Parke (16-9) in the semi-finals on Saturday, Oct. 19.
The other competing teams are Cascade (10-15), South Putnam (15-10), North Putnam (19-7), and Parke Heritage (15-9).
At Frankfort, North Montgomery (4-21) will face off against Benton Central (24-5) in the opening round at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17. The winner will play Twin Lakes (5-17) in the semi-final on Saturday, Oct. 19. On the other side of the bracket Frankfort (12-11) plays West Lafayette (17-5), while Crawfordsville (14-11) awaits the winner.
