While much has looked different on the Wabash College campus over the last year, the spirit of brotherhood that unites this campus endures.

In celebration of the bonds that make it a special place, Wabash College once again will show the strength of its connections as it hosts its eighth-annual Day of Giving today.

Some of our traditional events — Ringing In, Chapel Sing, Homecoming - took place in a socially distant fashion, but the collective sense of belonging allowed our students to experience a school year largely in-person and in-residence. Such an effort showed that our greatest traditions — teaching and learning, faculty-student relationships, and brotherhood — can survive any challenge.

“All for One” is a day designed to celebrate the College’s great tradition of philanthropy and our “Wabash Always Fights” spirit by generating gifts that directly support students, programming, and the face-to-face educational opportunities that make the Wabash experience unique.

“We are excited to showcase Wabash’s rich tradition of philanthropy,” said Aaron Selby, Director of Annual Giving and Advancement Services. “This year, we look forward to what is next for our college and our alumni, family, and friends can help us take a Giant Step for Wabash this year on our All for One Day of Giving.”

The nearly 24-hour effort begins at 4:08 a.m. and runs past midnight. Combining the ideas of crowd funding — specific goals in a specific time period — with the buzz of social media, the #AllforOneWabash campaign hopes to strengthen ties to the College and inspire impressive levels of support, as has been the case in each of the previous years.

Over $1.2 million was raised last year from more than 6,000 gifts.

The #AllforOneWabash effort on 4.08 features online ambassadors engaging members of the Wabash community throughout the day. The College hopes to unlock $520,000 already pledged by generous donors via eight challenges throughout the day.

Anyone can participate following these four steps: 1.) make a gift; 2.) convince others to do the same; 3.) spread the word through your social networks with the hashtag #AllforOneWabash; and 4.) enjoy the excitement and success.
