WAVELAND — The first summer event at Waveland Town Park is slated for Friday from 5:30 p.m. until dark.
A vendor market will be open to shop for local items, goodies and last-minute Father’s Day gifts. There also will be a cruise-in that features classic cars, bikes, fire trucks and other vehicles.
Waveland Strong will have food and concessions for sale. Proceeds will go to the Brown Lucky Leaf 4-H Club.
Sponsored by Stevenson Automotive and Hill Top Liquors, The Dapper Dan Band will take the stage at 6:30 p.m. Shawn, Danny and Joey Blanton rock it out to classic rock, blues and country.
Organizers urge everyone to grab their lawn chairs and bring the family for a fun evening together.
