Last weekend Fountain Central grad Macee Williams should have been playing in IUPUI’s first NCAA Women’s Basketball tournament.
And instead just days after the two-time defending league player of the year helped the Jags to the Horizon League title and automatic berth to the tournament, the plug was pulled amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
“I didn’t know someone could experience being at an all-time high and an all-time low in one week,” Williams said. “This was suppose to be our year, and it was curt short. I really feel for all the seniors, especially Holly (Hoopingarner). She will be dearly missed.”
