We must admit that troubles do come to all of us. We must be careful not to be overcome by negative attitudes in these challenges. Remember Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called to His purpose.” What a peace it brings to know that God is in control, that He has never been out of control of His creation for even on fraction of a second since the beginning of time.
When we realize, believe and accept the Lord’s sovereignty, His total control is vital to our peace. His sovereignty means that nothing in regards to you is beyond His loving watchful eye and constant care. 1 Peter 5:7, says, “Casting all your care (anxiety, fear) upon Him, for He cares for you.” That is good news!
God really cares about you. He is your protector. He is responsible for carrying out His purposes and plans for you. He commits to meet your needs as you obey and walk with Him. Best of all the Lord has a plan to bless you and to reward you with eternal life.
So in reality, this means everything you experience — even the bad things — the Lord Jesus will turn for your good if you will trust Him as your sovereign Lord and Savior. Because this is true, stop thinking the worst. Look to your Savior and praise Him for always being with you (Hebrews 13:5) and for always giving you His best.
Thank the Lord today for His sovereign loving care. “Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so!”
