Witham thanks community for donations

Posted

National Hospital week is May 10-16 and celebrates hope and healing, and the women and men who support the health and well-being of their communities through dedication and care from the heart. This is the nation’s largest healthcare observance that unites healthcare facilities across the country in saluting their employees and reaffirming their commitment to the patients and communities they serve.

Witham Health Services would like to take this time to celebrate and honor the teamwork and dedication of its staff but better yet to thank the community for its generous support and outreach during the COVID-19 pandemic. Witham has received thousands of handmade face masks and accessories but we are still in need of more. We were able to give cloth face masks to our teammates and also share with some of our patients as they were being seen in our practices. This has been so helpful because of the shortages of these supplies. So thank you to the following people for helping Witham keep our staff and community safe: Misty Aliff, Shirley Behrens, Bryan Bennet, Stuart Bollock, Andrew Bowman - Countryside Christian Fellowship, Janie Byrd, Ashley Coleman, Krista Cromwell, Elizabeth Davenport, Holly DeRose, Michelle Dies, Digital Promotions, Michelle Emmert, Linda Fahrenbach, Maria Flora - Sewing for Boone County, Allison Gallo, Chase Galloway, Isaac Galloway, Paige Galloway, Marcia Goldstein, Marlene Graham, Sherry Graham, Elizabeth Graybiel, Mark Graybiel, Shirley Hayman, Sandy Hermiller, Melissa Imbus, Beverly Johnson, Carolyn Johnson, Deb Johnson, Hollie Johnson, Annette and Jason Jones - Trinity Safety Group, April Julian, Jake Kammerer, Kim Kauffman, Mark Kleis, Bradley McHugh, Phyllis McKinney, Jordan Morrissey, Brandon Mullen, Karen Mutnansky, Diana Mitchell Nash - thefacemaskproject.com, Anna Phelps, Chelsea Roth, Marti Salerni, Kelli Shepherd, Kyle Shepherd, Edgar Shirley, Patricia Shirley, Tammy Spidel, Lori Steininger, Beverly Stevenson, Janice Strawmyer, Brittany Wayman - Traders Point Church, Karen Wilkerson, Susan Woodard, Kelli Worman, Kyle Worman, Mills Family plus anonymous donors and those whose names we don’t’ have.

“The level of community donations of masks, face shields, leggings, food and coupons has been amazing,” Annette Preston, Witham Health Services Foundation director. “Your support through this pandemic has been appreciated and you have helped the morale of each and every colleague at Witham. These lists do not include our anonymous donors or individuals that we may not have gotten your name — we thank you!”

“With the communities support and outreach our frontline health care workers have been able to adapt more easily to get through the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Ray Ingham, president/CEO Witham Health Services. “What has made a huge impact and is also a great morale booster for our Witham staff are those that have organized prayer chains, written thank you notes, made chalk drawings in the parking lots, put up positive signage, honked and clapped for us as we left or entered our facilities and called us heroes. Those are the things that have touched us deeply and make us truly realize the great community we live in.”

Thank you Boone County for choosing Witham Health Services as you Healthcare provider of choice.
