Mayor Todd Barton spoke at Rotary Club this week. He gave club members a rundown of things going on in the city. Some of the highlights included Pike Place and the continued usage of the facility, construction of the downtown bike trail and the Mobile Integrated Health Program. The Mayor’s Council has added younger members, including high school age students in order to see what we can do to stop the flight of our high school and college age students from this community. Problems he addressed were the shortage of housing, including apartments that are not income-need based, and people to fill jobs open in Crawfordsville.
