COVINGTON — Beef House Dinner Theatre in Covington is thrilled to announce the cast of the engaging and welcoming hit musical, Come From Away, at the Beef House Dinner Theatre this summer. This engagement is a part of the 2026 Beef House Dinner Theatre season.

When the world stopped on Sept. 11, 2001, kindness soared in an isolated Canadian town. Twenty-five year later this summer, the Beef House Dinner Theatre brings you the award-winning musical triumph Come From Away. In Come From Away, a breathtaking musical based on a remarkable true story, 38 commercial flights from around the globe are diverted for days to tiny Gander, Newfoundland. Unfazed by the arrival of nearly 7,000 surprise guests, the residents provide light in a dark time, welcoming the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and hope. This uplifting celebration will warm your heart and renew your faith in mankind. Come From Away ran over 1600 performances on Broadway from 2017 until 2022. Critics across the country call this one of the greatest musicals in recent history. Staged simply with a few chairs and 12 actors, Come From Away by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, continues to thrill audiences across the country.

The talented cast of 12 portray dozens of characters, including the townspeople of Gander, Newfoundland and the “come from aways,” the passengers of the 38 planes that diverted to that small town.

Leading the cast is Kena Clark of Milford, Illinois who portrays Captain Beverly Bass and others. Bass was the first female pilot for American Airlines and successfully landed her plane and led her passengers through the stay in Gander. Beef House audiences will recognize Clark from her portrayals of Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette and others on the Beef House stage.

Returning to the Beef House stage for the first time since his portrayal of Elvis in Elvis The Musical in 2021 is Cody Jacobs. Currently a resident of Boulder, Colorado Jacobs has extensive theatrical experience, including roles with the Lyric Theatre program at the University of Illinois, Champaign Urbana. He has also appeared at the BHDT as Jack Kelly in Newsies and Jesus in Godspell.

Completing the cast are members of the Beef House company including Noah Acree, Kayla Dillman, Laynie Ferriman, Eric France, Nancy Henderson. Ky’Eshia Maze, Nehemiah Ray, Jodi Prosser Muller, Ter’Ryan White and Brian Zecher.
