Morgan Biggs is seeking the Republican nomination for Montgomery County Treasurer in the May primary election.
Biggs is a wife and mother of three children. While she has not previously held elected office, she has worked for five years in the Darlington Clerk Treasurer’s Office.
“I am running for county treasurer because I believe our county deserves responsible, transparent and trustworthy financial leadership,” Biggs said. “The treasurer’s role is more than managing accounts, it is about protecting taxpayer dollars, ensuring fiscal stability and making sound financial decisions that serve the best interests of our residents.”
She emphasized transparency and communication as priorities if elected.
“Transparency and accessibility will be central to my approach,” she said. “Taxpayers deserve clear, accurate information about how county funds are managed. I am committed to maintaining open communication with the public, county officials and departments to build trust and confidence in our local government.”
Biggs said integrity and long term responsibility would guide her work as treasurer.
“I am committed to listening to the concerns of our residents, collaborating with county leadership and ensuring that our county’s finances are managed ethically and prudently for today and for future generations,” she said.
