Billie Louise Johnson, 95, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away peacefully at Westside Village Health Center in Indianapolis, on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022.
She was born July 15, 1927, at Lebanon, Indiana, a daughter of the late William M. Cox and Mary Gladys (McPhetridge) Cox.
On Dec. 23, 1944, she was married to Clarence Elery Johnson in Advance, Indiana. He preceded her in death.
Billie was a graduate of Dover High School. She worked as a group leader for RCA and retired after 25 years of service.
Strong in her faith, Billie was a dedicated prayer warrior, always lifting up those in need.
Survivors include: her sisters, Linda (Virgil) Patterson and Mickie (Bob) Bowersock; and 13 nieces and nephews on the Cox side and six nieces and nephews on the Johnson side. She loved all of them as much as if they were her own.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Billie was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy (Meredith) Ford and Beckie (Don) Williams.
Graveside memorial services are planned for 1 p.m. Sunday, June 4 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jamestown, with Rev. Bill Boone, officiating.
