Donna Joan Elfreich of Crawfordsville passed away peacefully Sunday evening, April 14, 2024, at Franciscan Health of Lafayette, at the age of 85.
She was born Sept. 17, 1938, at Crawfordsville, to Lester Cox and Edna Marie (Smith) Cox. She married Curtis James Elfreich on April 16, 1976. They were married over 46 years until Curtis’ passing on Feb. 6, 2023.
Donna is survived by sister Delma Cox and sister-in-law Karen Brindle as well as several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Donna graduated Crawfordsville High School in 1956. In high school she stared her working career at G.C. Murphy’s on the sales floor. Later she was promoted to the office and worked there several years. She then worked in the office at W&M Plastics for about five years. She finished her career working at Meijer on Park Plaza in Indianapolis on the sales floor.
Donna enjoyed both before and after retirement crocheting, watching TV and word find puzzles.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, with visitation beginning one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery on Grant Avenue.
