Edwin Chenoweth, 88, of Linden passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at Life’s Journey Hospice, Avon, surrounded by his family.
He was born June 21, 1934, at Lynn, Indiana, to Edwin R. and Mabel Norman Chenoweth. Edwin served in the United States Navy. He was a farmer in the Linden area for close to 60 years.
On Dec. 26, 1955, he married Thelma Partridge. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Mark (Beth) Chenoweth, Brent (Pam) Chenoweth and Kara (Eddy) Meadows; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister Joan Mangas.
He was preceded in death by brother Frank.
Ed was known for his kindness, generosity and his love for his family. Those who knew Ed would describe him by saying “He is a good man.” He was loved by his wife and family and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with Pastor Jeff Stedge officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Military rites will be provided at 2 p.m. by the American Legion Post 72 Honor Guard and the US Navy. Interment will follow the service in Linden Cemetery.
