Greg S. Conrad “Pops,” 70, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021.

He was born May 3, 1950, to Orville and Nellie Conrad of Crawfordsville. They preceded him in death.

Greg was a 1968 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. He graduated Ball State University in 1972 with a degree in business management. He had a very successful career at RR Donnelley’s in Crawfordsville for 37 years. He started out in customer service, then became a supervisor and lastly held the manager position for over 30 years until his retirement in 2009 and was spoken of very highly by his colleagues.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Alice of 33 years; his four children, Chris (Elizabeth) Conrad, Erin (Jason) Pfledderer, Brandi Evans and Kiley Wells; his grandchildren, Annika (Cody) Cummins, Jake (Makayla) Clark, Addison (Austin) Conrad, Hunter Conrad, Abbie Vaughn, Christopher Conrad, Madison Conrad, Hudson Pfledderer, Ava Wells and Reid Pfledderer; five great-grandchildren; sister Kathie (Richard) Watkins; and niece Elizabeth (Benjamin) Fishero; as well as many friends and colleagues.

Greg was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. In his retirement, he enjoyed driving their RV to Arizona, Michigan and Key West. He also loved riding his Harley Davidson and driving his BMW’s. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed attending Colts football games, mushroom hunting and caring for his dogs. He also loved researching his family history. He took great pride in his family, loved hosting family time around the pool and cooking for all of us at the snack shack. He would love for us to always remember the trash bags on Christmas morning, that we don’t go in the house with wet feet and the grass is off limits!

There are no words to express how deeply he will be missed by his family.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 17 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, 107 N Grant St., Crawfordsville. The funeral will follow at 3:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montgomery County Community Foundation or the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League.

Masks and social distancing should be observed.
