Jeffrey E. Scaggs, 56, of Crawfordsville passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020. After a long battle with cancer, Jeff is now pain free and at peace.

Jeff was a hard worker and loved his family dearly. He worked at Raybestos from 1994 to 2009 as a supervisor. He started a screen-printing business, where he worked until his illness forced him to quit. Jeff loved weekend rides with his wife Missy on their Harley. He also loved playing softball, watching his boys race, play sports and was an IU and Dallas Cowboys fan. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren, they are his life.
Jeff was born Feb. 13, 1964, to Tommy and Barb (Caldwell) Scaggs. On Jan. 13, 1995, Jeff married his soulmate, Missy McIntyre, and together they had four children, Derrick (Rachael Harris), Dalton (Shelby Mather) Scaggs, Alyssa (Jacob) Beerbower and Tara, who preceded him in death. Jeff was blessed with four grandchildren, Chandler Scaggs and Raelynn, Kyleigh and Maverick Beerbower, all of whom he loved dearly.
Jeff is survived by his mother and father; sister Kristy (Andy) Largent; brother Brian (Rebecca) Scaggs; sister-in-law Casey (Daniel) Murphy; brother-in-law Billy (Gina) McIntyre, along with his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Pam McIntyre; and nieces and nephews, Cody and Brooke Scaggs, Zak, Gracie Kristina, Beck and Bella McIntyre, Kayla (Largent) England and Calinn, Kolie, Kinley and Carmin Murphy.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25 at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville. A celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the funeral home to assist with funeral and medical expenses.
