Linda Sue (Blankenbeckler) Brock, 75, of Covington passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born Nov. 19, 1946, at Morehead, Kentucky, to the late Glen and Gertrude (Lambert) Blankenbeckler.
Linda attended Elliotville Grade School in Kentucky and graduated from the last class at Kingman High School as the valedictorian in 1965. She married Jerry Brock on July 16, 1965. She worked in insurance as a claims manager for 35 years at several different companies. She was a gifted and excellent seamstress, loved working with flowers, was a great cook, loved the sound of the ocean, and loved spending time with her granddaughter, Madison and special niece, Jami.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jerry Brock of Covington; son Darren Brock of Nashville, Tennessee; granddaughter Madison (Kris) Sutton of Heber City, Utah; four siblings, Ray (Joellen) Blankenbeckler of Williamsport, John (Kerry) Blankenbeckler of Ridge Farm, Illinois, Ron (Chris) Blankenbeckler of Veedersburg, and Kenny (Judy) Blankenbeckler of Veedersburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Loretta Gray, Veester Wampler, Katherine Gray, Janet Potts and Bobbie Shoap; and two brothers, Leroy Blankenbeckler and Roger Blankenbeckler.
Cremation was chosen with a visitation at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S. First St., Kingman, on Saturday, Aug. 20 from 3 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5 p.m. The service will be recorded which can be viewed on Linda’s obituary page at www.sandersfuneralcare.com.
