Lonnie E. Musgrove, 84, of Newtown passed away unexpectedly in his home Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020.
He was born in Barthell, Kentucky, son of the late Jason and Bessie Stevens Musgrove.
Lonnie attended school in Kentucky. He was a self-employed carpenter and had resided in Newtown the past 20 years. He was a quiet, solitary person who kept to himself. He enjoyed cutting and splitting firewood.
Lonnie is survived by brother-in-law Virgil Jackson of Newtown; two sons, Dean Musgrove and Roger Musgrove, both of Kentucky; daughter Linda Whitehead of Kentucky; two sisters, Shirley Davis of Kentucky and Lee Plessie of Georgia; brother Lester Musgrove of Kentucky; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a wife; son Lowell; two brothers; and one sister.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 6-7 p.m. Nov. 12 at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate, with a memorial service following at 7 p.m.
