It’s time to pull on your denim jacket, tease up your hair, and get ready to travel back to the Sunset Strip of the 1980s as the Sugar Creek Players Theater present: Rock of Ages.

At the center of Rock of Ages are Drew Boley (Jaden Hart) and Sherrie Christian (Cimbria Bowling), two young dreamers chasing success on Los Angeles’ legendary Sunset Strip. As their friendship and romance grow, they find themselves caught in a battle to save the iconic Bourbon Room from developers determined to transform the neighborhood. Set against a soundtrack of classic rock hits, the story celebrates following your dreams and preserving the spirit of a generation.

Throughout the show, audiences will be swept away by unforgettable rock anthems from legendary artists including Poison, Styx, Bon Jovi, Journey, Foreigner, and many more.

Featuring a cast of both new and familiar faces, Rock of Ages captures the energy and heart of the decade. Under the direction of Megan Birk and Dan Martin with production by Jessica Fruits, the cast and crew have brought together dynamic choreography, live music, and vibrant staging to create a high-energy production that is equal parts comedy, romance, and rock concert.

Rock of Ages runs for two weekends: July 31-Aug. 2 and Aug.7-9. Performances begin at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sundays.

While Rock of Ages is packed with classic rock hits and comedy, it also contains mature language, adult humor, and mature themes. The production is intended for adult audiences and is not recommended for children.
