With profound sadness we announce the passing of Ronald “Ronnie” Charles LaRue Jr., on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020. He was a loving husband to Britni LaRue and doting father to Nick and Zoey. Ronnie passed unexpectedly in his home at the age of 40.

Ronnie was born Nov. 16, 1980, at Danville, Illinois. He was the son of Ronald Charles LaRue Sr. and Jill Marie Bowling. Ronnie attended Southmont High in Crawfordsville and graduated from Turkey Run High School in Rockville in 1999. He worked in information technology and enjoyed building and working on computers. Ronnie also enjoyed working out, shopping, cooking, family cookouts and dinners, spending time and laughing with his family, especially his children. He was a talented, self-taught musician developing a love of music at a young age and often played the guitar or piano alongside his grandfather. Ronnie treasured his children and loved Nick and Zoey with all of his heart.

Surviving family include: wife Britni LaRue of Fort Branch; mother Jill Bowling and step-father Roger Thomas of Crawfordsville; father Ronald LaRue Sr.; son Nicholas LaRue; daughter Zoey LaRue; half-sister Krystyne Hernandez; step-sister Bobbi Weaver; and four step-children, Trenton, Maddox, Kayne and Elizabeth. Ronnie had a special relationship with all of his cousins who he grew up with and dearly loved as his brothers and sisters. Bryan, Jason, Kristina, Wayne, Jennifer, Amy and Cody will miss their “brother.”

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard “Dick” and Bonnie King, who we know welcomed their favorite grandchild home with open arms.

A family visitation will be 3-4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17 with a public visitation 4-6 p.m. at Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville. Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18 at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
