Russell Wayne Phelps of Darlington passed away in his home. He was 62.
Mr. Phelps worked at RR Donnelley & Sons for many years. More recently, he had been employed at Pace Dairy. He enjoyed woodworking and cooking. Above all else, Russell loved his children more than anything in the world.
Born May 26, 1958, at Crawfordsville, he was the son of Everett Leon Phelps and Martha Joyce Weaver Phelps Rogers. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School.
Surviving family includes: daughter April (John) Hodges; sons, Dennis Wayne Phelps and Eldon Wolfgang Phelps; mother Martha Rogers; and brothers, Randy J. Phelps and James (Donna) Arnold Rogers Jr.
He was preceded in death by his father.
There will not be a public visitation or service. His wish was to have a simple cremation and his family is honoring that request. Arrangements were made through Burkhart Funeral Home.
