Sharon Rose (Sparger) Wright, 82, of Crawfordsville passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at her home.
She was born Dec. 22, 1939, at Crawfordsville, to the late Robert William and Agnes O. (Swank) Sparger.
Sharon was one of the first EMT’s with S.T.A.R. Ambulance when they opened in 1982. She also worked at Home Hospital and Raybestos. She was a strong single mom, who raised her daughters.
She married Leslie Herold Wright on June 3, 1983. She enjoyed working in the yard and flower beds. She loved traveling to Gatlinburg and going on motorcycle rides with her husband. She also enjoyed shopping and her puppies.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Rebecca Wellhausen and Lori (Garry W.) Pearson; seven grandchildren, Kari, Nick, Will, Elizabeth, Mark, Hannah and Sam; and four great-grandchildren, Julya, Jason, Gemma and Astra.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Carolyn Bayless.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be a private service only. She will be laid to rest near her parents at Oak Hill Cemetery South. Sanders Priebe Funeral Care is entrusted with care.
