Shirley Ann Goff, 87, passed away peacefully the morning of Sept.15, 2020, at Bickford Cottage, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

She was born Sept. 6, 1933, at Fairmount, Illinois, to Dorsey R. And Mary E. Parliament Moreman. She attended Hillsboro High School, and married Keith Owen Goff on July 23, 1960. They attended Russellville Community Church, Woodland Heights Christian Church, and most recently Ladoga Christian Church.

Shirley and Keith had six children, Rick (Renita) Shull of Waynetown, Stephen (Mary Ann) Goff of Durango, Colorado, David (Laura) Shull of Crawfordsville, Cynthia (Greg) Demmon of Denver, Colorado, Denise Hole of San Antonio, Texas, and Gregg (Sarah) Goff of Salem, South Carolina. They had 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren (and one that is due very soon); as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends who were dear to her as well.

In addition to time with her family, Shirley loved to garden, play cards, sew, exercise and spend time on the water with her husband Keith. She also regularly donated to St. Jude’s Hospital, Mountie Missions and other charities. Shirley retired from RR Donnelley in September of 1988. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Punta Gorda, Florida, and later to Winterhaven, Florida, where they enjoyed going on cruises, site-seeing, visiting with friends, and hosting family visits.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters,Juanita Jackson, Gwelda Clark, Norma Lackey and Joetta Barnard; two sons, Rick and Stephen; and her husband of almost 43 years, Keith.

There will be a private family service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Russellville Community Church, then a burial service immediately afterward at Hebron Cemetery in Russellville.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to one of Shirley’s favorite charities or the Alzheimer’s Association.
