Teresa Kay (Smith) Kader, 60, of Crawfordsville passed away Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville.
She was born Feb. 9, 1961, at Otter Lake, Michigan, to the late Robert Allen and Evelyn Marie (Latchshaw) Smith.
She attended Lakeville High School and was the manager of the deli department at Publix in Florida. She married John Michael Kader Sr. on June 14, 1979, in Otisville, Michigan. She was a member of River of Life Church and Christ Alive. She loved playing bingo, going on cruises with her husband, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed scratching off lottery tickets.
She is survived by four sons, Jeremy Allen Kader, Joseph (Claudetta) Kader, Chris (Amanda) Kader and John Michael Kader Jr., all of Crawfordsville; two brothers, David Michael Smith of Crawfordsville and James David Smith of Michigan; three sisters, Karen (Ed) Leiningher of Goodrich, Michigan, Michelle (William) Smith-Johnson of Detroit, Michigan, and Juanita (Johnny) King of North Carolina; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and her dogs, Stormy, Shasta and Champ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Michael Kader Sr.; brother Robert Allen Smith; grandson John Michael Kader III; and sister Lisa Marie Horton.
Cremation was chosen with a celebration of life at a later date.
