Wilma Marie Richey, 90, of Veedersburg passed away at 9:50 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at The Waters of Covington.
Wilma was born July 20, 1930, at Covington, the daughter of Herschel N. and Audrey V. (Minnick) Wall. She married Melvin Richey on Aug. 9, 1946, at Veedersburg. He preceded her in death Feb. 18, 2001.
Surviving family include: daughter Linda (Steve) Steed, Plaifield; three sons, Dennis (Rhonda) Richey, Logansport, Gary (Patty) Richey, Brooksville, Florida, and Jeff (Barbara) Richey, Wingate; three sisters, Ordella Prince, Veedersburg, Stella (Paul) Doss, Veedersburg and Delores (Steve) Livengood, Illinois; two brothers, James Richard (Linda) Lowry, Stone Bluff; Fred (Diane) Lowry, Shelbyville; 12 grandchildren,;29 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; daughter Penny Richey; and daughter-in-law Reva Richey.
Wilma had attended the EUB Church in Veedersburg and the Stone Bluff Community Church. She had enjoyed traveling with her husband; and more than anything she loved and enjoyed her family.
Funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. (EST) Tuesday, Dec. 22 at Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with Steve Livengood officiating. Visitation will begin at
11:30 (EST) Tuesday at the funeral home and continue until the time of service. Burial will be at VA National Cemetery in Danville, Illinois.
