A 33-year-old Crawfordsville man was arrested Wednesday on multiple felony charges alleging years of sexual abuse involving minor female family members and a 15-year-old girl he is accused of impregnating, according to court documents.
Casey Clements was taken into custody following a lengthy investigation by the Crawfordsville Police Department, with assistance from the Indiana Department of Child Services and other agencies, court records show.
Authorities allege Clements abused one of female family members, identified in court documents as a 10-year-old at the time of her initial disclosure in 2022. The girl told medical staff at a Crawfordsville emergency room that Clements had touched her inappropriately, prompting a report to child welfare officials and police. During a forensic interview, the child said the abuse began when she was about 6 or 7 years old.
Police opened an investigation at that time, but early searches of the child’s social media accounts did not uncover corroborating messages or images.
The case expanded in late 2024 when officers began investigating a missing 15-year-old girl from Greencastle, identified in court documents as Victim No. 1. Detectives later determined the teen had been in contact with Clements and was believed to have been staying at his Crawfordsville residence.
Investigators said the two first met in the fall of 2024 through a mutual acquaintance. By June 2024, evidence indicated they were communicating regularly and engaging in what authorities described as a romantic relationship. At that time, the girl had just turned 15, according to the affidavit.
Police documented multiple encounters between Clements and the teen, including a July 2025 incident when officers stopped the pair walking along U.S. 231. The girl initially gave a false name and age, but officers later confirmed her identity and age, records show.
Despite repeated denials during interviews, investigators said digital evidence later showed the relationship spanned months and involved sexual contact. Authorities also allege Clements provided the teen with alcohol and drugs.
Medical records obtained during the investigation indicated the girl became pregnant in mid-2025. While she denied Clements was the father when questioned by investigators, messages and other evidence suggested both believed he was.
Search warrants executed on Clements’ online accounts and devices uncovered extensive evidence, including hundreds of images and videos of child sexual abuse material. The material allegedly included recordings involving Victim No. 1 and other minors, as well as communications between Clements and additional minors, including teenage males, on social media platforms, including Kik.
Authorities also found conversations in which Clements allegedly attempted to manipulate victims and maintain control over them, including threats of self-harm.
In addition to the allegations involving the 15-year-old, investigators received further disclosures in 2025 from Clements’ female family member, who provided more detailed accounts of abuse. Another underage victim also reported being abused, helping strengthen the probable cause against Clements.
Clements was formally charged in Montgomery Circuit Court, and a warrant for his arrest was issued Tuesday before he was taken into custody the following day.
The investigation remains ongoing.
