God opened the door for Dan, while he dreamt of sunrise on a blue-green lake. He heard the music of song birds, felt the sunshine and moisture of the air on his face. He heard the splash of fish swimming and was sure that was the Big One that got away.
He celebrated his life with family, friends, and neighbors at his 80th birthday party.
He is survived by a legacy of love, laughter, kindness and about 1,200 pounds of rocks in his collection.
A rendezvous to reminisce is planned for a later date.
