Sue Ann Tague, 81, of Dugger, and formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away quietly in her sleep at 2:15 a.m. Oct. 11, 2026, at Sullivan Community Hospital in Sullivan.

She was born Nov. 13, 1944, in Crawfordsville, to the late John Isaac and Mary Isabelle Furr Thompson.

Sue Ann was a 1962 graduate of Mishawaka High School. She married Gary Tague on March 4, 1963, in Crawfordsville. He preceded her in death Feb. 19, 2016. She also was preceded in death by her son, Michael Ray Tague.

She was formerly employed by RR Donnelley & Sons and provided child care in her home and the children fondly referred to her as grandma.

Sue Ann was a wonderful, loving woman whose greatest joy was her family. She spent her days surrounded by the people she loved most, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.

She was a woman who gave her love freely and found happiness in the simple moments spent with her family. Her kindness, warmth, and loving spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed, but the love she gave and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family. She enjoyed skating, dancing and baby sitting small children.

Sue Ann is survived by her grandchildren, Sean Tague, Kyle Tague (Jessica) and Matt Tague (Elizabeth); Eddie Brissey, who was not her son by birth but treated her like a mother; her sister, Barb Hayworth; her brother, Doc Thompson; her cousins, Marty, Detrich, Ruthan, Dolores and Jack Keller; and her beloved nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Gabby, Cole Michael, Asa, Kaiden and Ryder Tague, who brought tremendous love and joy into her life.

Sue Ann’s greatest legacy is the family she loved so deeply. Though she is no longer with us, her love will continue through the generations she helped shape and the countless memories she leaves behind.

Visitation hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1 p.m., with Pastor Mike Parks officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro.
