Velma Norene Servies, 91, passed away Oct. 23, 2026, at Sugar Grove Senior Living in Plainfield.
Born in Pulaski County, Kentucky to Herbert Lee and Zula Hazel Cope Wall on June 27, 1935, Norene was a 1954 graduate of Marshall High School. On Oct. 22, 1955, Norene married Max B. Servies, who preceded her in death on May 5, 2003.
Norene was a member of Woodland Heights Christian Church; she also worked and retired from RR Donnelley.
Surviving family includes: daughters, Robin (Karl) Hakala, Paris (Mike) Brannon, Kim (Brian) Fletcher and Jamie (Keith) Southwood; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister Lorma Hale; and several nieces and nephews.
Norene was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sisters, Jean Baker and Lou Douglas.
Graveside services will be Monday, Nov. 2 at the Bethany Cemetery in Marshall, starting at 11 a.m. led by Steve Wilke.
