Oliver Lobaugh, age 3 1/2, has completed the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten at the Crawfordsville District Public Library for the second time. He is the son of Sarah Zartuche and Benjamin Lobaugh. Together they have read 2,000 books. Oliver's favorite book is "Blue Train, Green Train" by Wilbert Awdry. Mom said, "This community is blessed to have such a wonderful library. It has many programs to help people of all ages develop a love of reading. The Youth Services Department staff do an amazing job engaging and making this place feel like home. One of our favorite places to be."

Parke Heritage High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members competed in their state competition held in Muncie from Feb. 29-March 2. Three groups received the highest score in their competition and received a National Qualifying bid. Earning gold medals were Savannah Cotten and Maddy Fisher in the Interior Design category and Mackenzie Reath and Justice Stark in the Public Policy Advocate category. Emma Patton received a silver medal and a national qualifying bid in the Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation category. Earning silver medals were Haley Holtsclaw - Fashion Construction; Treyton Burgess - Food Innovation; Quinten Smith - Professional Presentation; and Will Patton - Repurpose and Redesign.
