Delores “Kay” (Kelly) Shrout-Lynch, 84, of Crawfordsville passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2026.
Kay was born Dec. 16, 1941, in Crawfordsville, daughter of the late Max and Katherine (Grimes) Kelly.
She graduated from Russellville High School in 1959. Kay moved to Bakersfield, California and attended Bakersfield College, where she earned an Associate of Arts degree in nursing. She was a nurse for over 35 years before retiring in 2007.
She married Dean Lynch in 1997. He survives. Kay was also a member of Russellville Community Church.
She is survived by her husband, Dean Lynch; son Terry Shrout; step-sons, Ron (Lisa) Lynch and Mike (Michelle) Lynch; grandchildren, Levi (Hannah) Lynch, Seth (Lindsay) Lynch and Stacy (Justin Baggerly) Lynch; great-grandchildren, Wiley, Jed, Bennett and Kurt; nephew Jason; nieces, Lisa and Lori; and numerous extended family members.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents; brother Don Kelly; and sister Dixie Kelly.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Thursday, Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 1 p.m. at Servies Funeral and Cremation Servies, 301 E. Green St., Waveland. Burial will immediately follow her funeral service at Russellville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Joseph’s Indian School, 1301 N. Main St., Chamberlain, SD 57325.
