LISA MANNING
I am an attorney. I live in Hendricks County, but have worked in Montgomery County for six years. For fun in my spare time, I am an endurance athlete: marathons, triathlons, obstacle course racing, etc. Any activity that keeps your heartrate up for so long you feel like you may vomit, that’s my hobby.
The song that makes me want to sing or dance along to is anything Taylor Swift. I am a certified (and proud) Swiftie.
My reaction when I was asked to be a Star was genuine excitement. I love this community, and I’m always happy to meet more people in Montgomery County. You all have something special up here.
I decided to participate in the Youth Service Bureau fundraiser because I have worked with CASA for six years. I have represented children in court for 20 years. Everyone else has someone in the courtroom. CASA is the only one there for the child alone. It is truly selfless work. I’ll do all I can to help support this program. The other programs are an amazing bonus.
The public come to this event and support us because my partner devotes her day to teaching middle school children, and her free time teaching them to dance. That deserves everyone’s support. She’s pretty amazing. Also, if you have never seen a lawyer try to have rhythm, it will undoubtedly be entertaining. We are bringing girl power to DWTS! Gonna show these boys how it’s done.
KAYLYNN KEEDY RANSPACH
I am a school social worker at North Montgomery High School and North Montgomery Middle School Dance Team Coach. I grew up in Montgomery County as a kid and moved back in 2019. I have been working in Montgomery County as a social worker since 2014.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I are often found at our daughters’ dance, sports, church, and school events. They are seven and 10 and keep us very busy!
I started dancing at Dance by Deborah when I was three and continued there and with the Crawfordsville School Dance teams until I graduated high school. I also studied dance in college and was on the dance team there as well. I have taught dance at Dance By Deborah in the past and now coach the North middle schoolers. I enjoy dancing to anything! You’ll likely find my dances to be upbeat and fun!
As a social worker, I see the benefits of the YSB’s programs in our local youth every day. I feel honored that my background as a dancer allows me multiple ways to support my students — supporting them directly through my career and by raising money though DWTS!
Lisa and I are excited to bring an upbeat routine this year that we know will make you smile. But, most of all, you should come out to raise money for the kids!
