The event, slated for May 9 at Knowling Fieldhouse, is a fundraiser for the Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau. JACOB SZUMSKI
I am a multi-location franchise owner of Greek’s Pizzeria. I live in Avon. In my spare time, I am a boxer, and I like to read, listen to podcasts, and cook.
My reaction when I was asked to be a Star, was heck no. I’ve never danced before. But I realized this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and will be a lot of fun!
I decided to participate because the funds this raises are going to a great cause and I’m excited for the experience.
The public should come support Ashley and me because we are working on a unique dance that you don’t want to miss.
ASHLEY CLUTE
I am a cosmetologist. I’ve been behind the chair for 20 years. I work at the Studio Suite in Greencastle and will start adding a couple days to my schedule here in Crawfordsville at the Beauty Bar. I have lived in Montgomery County for nine years.
For fun in my spare time, I dance, read, work on my fitness, and explore new restaurants with my husband, Jake Martin. I started dancing at age five. This is my sixth year as a pro for Dancing with the Montgomery County Stars. I also participated in the Putnam County DWTS for 10 years. My favorite genre of music to dance to is satin.
I decided to participate in this year’s fundraiser because I have yet to learn how to say no. In all seriousness, this event combines my love for dance and want to give back to the community. I also thoroughly enjoy meeting new people each year.
My partner Jacob is a young entrepreneur who has done a great job giving back to the community, so please help him continue to do so by coming to this event. We also have a great routine in store for you.
