Marcia Powell passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 6. 2024.

She was born April 19, 1942. Marcia was a beacon of faith and self-reliance throughout her life.

Raised by her loving parents, Lester and Dorothy Weaver Powell. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness.

After graduating from Crawfordsville High School in 1960, Marcia embarked on a fulfilling career path. She dedicated herself to serving both Purdue University and the federal government.

Marcia’s devotion to her faith was evident in every aspect of her life. She was a dedicated servant to her church and other volunteered her time helping others. Her unwavering love for her Lord was a guiding light, shaping her interactions with others and providing strength during life’s challenges.

She is survived by sister Carol Powell McDonald (Richard); cherished nieces, Jacque Brant, Beth High (Brad), Diane McLaughlin (Steve), and Donna Hendrickson (Randy).

Their fond memories of Marcia will be treasured forever, Marcia’s presence will be missed by her family. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.

A funeral service to celebrate Marcia’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 at Hunt and Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Darla Goodrich officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to FISH Food Pantry or the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County in Marcia’s honor.

May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and light of the Lord.
