IRA Whiskey held a ribbon cutting and hosted its first event since opening during the inaugural Mayor’s Ball on Thursday, May 7, 2026, a fundraising event city officials plan to continue annually with a different nonprofit organization benefiting each year. This year’s benefactor was the Boys & Girls Club of Montgomery County. The event featured silent auctions and several sponsors and was held in partnership with IRA Whiskey as a way to give back to the community for welcoming the business. Speakers during the event included The Barrel Room at IRA Whiskey Tim Ingle, General Manager and Chief Growth Officer of The Barrel Room at IRA Whiskey, Mayor Todd Barton, Boys & Girls Club of Montgomery County CEO Gina Haile and keynote speaker Jake Gilbert, a former club attendee who spoke about the importance of the club, the impact it had on him as a child and its continued impact on local families and the community.
