MDT brings back Junie B. for youth show

HILLSBORO ­— Myers Dinner Theatre is excited to continue their tradition of entertaining Theatre for Young Audiences with the hilarious Junie B. in Jungle Bella, Batman Smells! 

This comedy, written by Allison Greogory (based on the book by Barbara Park) and directed by TJ Bird, will be presented with seating at 10:30 a.m., the meal at 11 a.m., and the performance at noon. It will be performed on the following dates: Nov. 2, 3, 5, 9 and 10, as well as Dec. 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15.

Junie B. Jones, First-Grader, is super-excited about the upcoming Holiday Sing-Along and Secret Santa gift exchange at her school. Too bad tattletale May keeps ruining all of Junie B.’s fun. So when Junie B. draws May’s name for Secret Santa, she comes up with the perfect plan to teach her nemesis a lesson! But will the Christmas spirit of peace and goodwill interfere before she can give you-know-who what she deserves? A hilarious and endearing tale based on the best-selling book series by Barbara Park, this show will feature DRae Beller, returning in the role of Junie B., Annie Heartney as May, Don Hart (Mr. Scary), Brett Frederickson (Herb), Hannah Bergman (Lucille) and TJ Bird (Sheldon/Phillip Johnny Bob).

Theatre prices TYA performances are $25 for dinner and show and $15 for students (ages 4-18). Prices do not include taxes, handling fees or gratuity for waitstaff.

Season tickets, group pricing and bus parking are also available.

Myers Dinner Theatre is located at 108 Water St., Hillsboro, and is handicap accessible.
