Meredith D. Clifford, 44, of Roachdale passed away Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, peacefully at home with her family by her side.

Meredith was born Jan. 10, 1979, at Champaign, Illinois, to Allen Price and Rose (Harris) Johnson. She graduated from Greencastle High School in 1997. Later, she followed her passion for helping others by earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing from WGU.

On Feb. 1, 2002, high school best friends Meredith and Daryn M. Clifford were married. They shared 21 years of marriage together.

Meredith loved being an RN and had a passion for all her patients, especially the babies. She loved all people as Jesus did. She enjoyed worship nights at church and Baptism Sundays.

Family meant everything to her from going to all the kids sporting events to just spending time with them. She enjoyed watching dirt track racing, camping, vacationing to the beach and long drives in the country taking in all of God’s beauty. She especially enjoyed watching the sunrises and sunsets from her porch.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, even the reruns. Everyone would laugh when Meredith would want to go through the McDonald’s drive-thru for a large Dr. Pepper with extra ice.

She is survived by husband Daryn M. Clifford; daughter Skylar J.M. Clifford (fiancé Dustin Costin); son Colton Clifford (Marin Davies); siblings, Chris (Kelly) Price, Adrienne (David) Hahn and Jennifer (Ryan) Wallace; parents, Allen Price and Rose (Allen) Johnson; father-in-law and mother-in-law Joe and Karla Lawless; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14 at Greencastle Christian Church, 620 Primrose Court, Greencastle, with Pastor Nathan Couch officiating. Burial will follow at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery in Greencastle. Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. until service time at 2:30 p.m. at the church.

Memorials may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital.
