LINDEN — Dr. Anthony Tharp was hired as the new superintendent for the North Montgomery School Corporation at Monday’s school board meeting. Tharp was the only candidate the board considered.

Tharp started at the school corporation in 2013 when he was hired as the assistant principal at North Montgomery Middle School. He later served as principal at Pleasant Hill until being named Director of Curriculum in 2019.

After the Monday meeting, Tharp said he is excited to start his new job which begins July 1. He also stated how much he enjoyed working with Moran.

“I think the hardest part about the new job will be not working beside Dr. Moran,” Tharp said. “She is a great mentor and we have had so much fun working together.”
