It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Robert Woodall Sr., on Oct. 1, 2026. He was a man of deep faith, great love, and an unwavering devotion to God and his family. Robert was born Sept. 23, 1945, to the late Audrey Bea Woodall and Nora (Phillips) Woodall.

Dad loved God with all his heart. His faith was at the center of everything he did. He spent his days studying God’s Word, reading the Bible, praying and sharing the message of God’s love with others. He never hesitated to speak about his faith or encourage others to know the Lord. Spreading God’s Word was not simply something he did — it was a part of who he was.

On Dec. 18, 1963, he married the love of his life, Kathryn (Stafford) Woodall. They shared 46 wonderful years of marriage until her passing on Feb. 20, 2010. Today, we find comfort in knowing they have been reunited in Heaven.

On Aug. 9, 2021, he married Linda S. Heylmann Woodall, who survives him.

His children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and loved ones were his greatest treasures and the center of his heart. He loved each of them deeply, prayed for them daily, and desired above all else that they know God’s love, live by faith and walk with Him.

Dad was ready to meet the Lord. His faith gave him peace and comfort, and he looked forward to the day he would be welcomed into his Heavenly Father’s presence. While we grieve the loss of his earthly presence, we take comfort in knowing his faith never wavered and that he is now at peace with the God he loved so dearly.

He leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith, love, compassion and devotion to both God and family. We will forever cherish his voice, his wisdom, his stories, his prayers and the unconditional love he gave so freely.

Until we meet again, Dad, we love you and will carry you in our hearts forever.

Robert is survived by his wife, Linda S. Woodall; his children, Robert Woodall Jr. (Julie Carnes), Kerrie (Jeff) Schroyer, Christy (Garry) Shillings and Tricia (Clint) Smith; his grandchildren, Stevie and Justin Woodall, Erika and Kelsie Shillings, Kourtnie and Paige Schroyer and Chloe and Brooke Veach; six great-grandchildren; his step-brothers, Gene Dickerson and Bill Dickerson; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn (Stafford) Woodall; his parents, Audrey and Nora (Phillips) Woodall-Dickerson; his stepfather, Harold Dickerson; his brothers, Arthur Woodall and Ken Woodall; his sisters, Louise Mason and Jean Lanham; and his stepbrothers, Raymond, Burt, and Virgil Dickerson.
