Donald Eugene Van Cleave Jr., 62, of Crawfordsville passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 8, 1963, in Crawfordsville, to Donald Eugene Van Cleave Sr. and Lois Smith.
He was a 1982 graduate of Southmont High School. He married Robin Taute on Jan. 18, 1986. She survives.
He retired from Pace Dairy as a maintenance technician. He was a member of the American Legion Post #72 and served in the United States Navy.
He enjoyed spending time with family, working on cars, canoeing, hiking and mushroom hunting.
Surviving along with his wife are children, Michael and his two boys, Nicholas, Christopher (Bree) and their four children, sister, Judy, and nephew CJ (TT) and their three boys as well as two aunts, two uncles and several cousins.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, July 23 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at noon. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North with military rites by the American Legion Post #72 and the United States Navy.
